STAN BANKS, FROM T-SHIRT SIDE HUSTLE COMPLETED HIS SECOND COHORT OF HIS "APPAREL ACADEMY"

Recently, a group of high school students participated in a revolutionary 4-week program called "Apparel Academy" where they not only learned the process of creating garments and building brand concepts but also the invaluable skills of how to utilize printing equipment like pros.

But the program won't stop there. Elementary school students will get the opportunity to flex their creative muscles when the upcoming pilot program launches! Not only will the kids learn how to make a shirt, but they also will gain some valuable insight into alternative ways to make money in the fashion industry and tips on starting an apparel business for around $500 to $600.

A special shoutout goes to the fashion gurus behind it all, Stan Banks from T-Shirt Side Hustle and Alex Hackett of Playrs Only, who not only imparted their industry knowledge but also their passion for giving back to the youth by providing them with an opportunity to discover and nurture their own fashion interests.

On Stan's latest Instagram post, his caption stated "Measure me by what I give!"

Indeed he's given a lot and continues to do so. 💯

Dear God,

I pray for guidance and wisdom as I work to grow my t-shirt business. I ask for your protection and provision over every aspect of my work, from the creative process of designing shirts to the practicalities of managing finances and dealing with customers.

Help me to be diligent and persistent in my efforts, and give me the courage to take calculated risks that will help my business thrive. Show me how to use my talents and resources to make a positive impact in my community and beyond.

I pray for your favor to be upon my business, and for doors of opportunity to be opened to me. I ask that you would bless my efforts and bring success to my endeavors.

Please give me the strength and perseverance to overcome any challenges that may come my way, and the grace to handle them with integrity and grace.Above all, I pray that my business would bring honor and glory to you, and be a source of blessing to those I serve.

T-SHIRT TALES FROM TOBY THE OG!

Yo, you ever wonder where the T-shirt came from? I mean, we all rock them, but do we really know their origins? Let me tell you, it's a story for the ages.  Yeen know t-shirts were originally developed as a type of underwear, did you???

Back in the day, when the sun was hot, the streets were sweatin' and the only thing coolin' you down was a cold glass of lemonade. Them hardworking folks, they was tired of their jumpsuits stickin' to they skin, so they did the only logical thing, they cut that bad boy in half. And voila, the T-shirt was born.

But the T-shirt wasn't just for the everyday folks, no sir. The Navy caught wind of this new "undershirt" and they was like "Yo, we need that on our ships, it's hot as hell out here." So they made it part of they uniform. But it wasn't until the 1950s, that the T-shirt became a symbol of rebellion, and everyone wanted in on that action.

Fast forward to the present tuh-day, T-shirts are for everyone, from the flyest fashionista to the laid-back playa on the block. So next time you rockin' a T-shirt, remember the story of its origins, and give a nod to them hardworking folks that made it all possible. I bet you ain't know that. But now you do, and you welcome. ✌🏾
